I have a list of suggested useful functions and fixes for these nice extension. I hope will be considered for the next updates! :)

  1. Switch between the listed windows by scrolling the mouse wheel.
  2. Click two times to the extension tray icon to set the precedent windows order.
  3. Lock the overscroll of the bottom pages (If you move the scroll when one or more browser windows are opened, the mouse wheel will scroll the layout inside the tab).
  4. Let possible also to merge the browser windows a single window, because the drag function of the tabs not work if the Cascade extension is active.
  5. Please add the possibility to use tiny/bigger windows previews.
  6. If the windows are maximized, the extension not works at all. I don't know If it caused by another extension or it is an incompatibility issue. I actively use Automove Windows, Native Placement Windows, Pixel saver.

PS: I'm on Manjaro 17.0.2 | Gnome 3.24 | Kernel 4.9.38-1

Hey, thanks for the suggestions! A few comments and questions:

  1. I probably will never do this. I'm trying to keep it minimal and this is pushing toward being a full-blown window manager.
  2. What exactly do you mean by "set the precedent window order"? Do you mean entering an "edit" mode and then dragging and dropping the windows into a specific ordering?
  3. This would break expected Gnome window behavior IMO. Scrolling uses the mouse location for the window target and I definitely wouldn't override that behavior in my extremely simple extension.
  4. What browser are you using? The drag function works fine for me using the latest Chrome, and my extension doesn't really mess with that area of Gnome. If I'm truly breaking expected behavior though, I'll absolutely fix if you can send reproducible steps.
  5. Good idea, I'll add this to the backlog!
  6. I believe I recently fixed this. Are you using the most recent version of the extension? You can toggle this functionality within the extension using Gnome Tweak Tool under the extension's settings.

Anyway, let me know of (4) and (6) and we'll go from there. Thanks!

Hello Lytol,

  1. I mean would be great If you add a function to restore the precedent windows order that was before the activation of Cascade Windows button.
  2. I use Firefox, Opera and Chrome, only Firefox I get the reported effect to fix.
  3. I downloaded your exension since two days ago, so I think is fully updated.
