I hope to be able to specify individual pixels or percentages for each image, and to maintain the aspect ratio when specifying pixels.
These features are supported in version 1.7.0, why are they removed in the new version?

Basically for the sake of simplicity. Setting individual parameters for each image was a handy feature but a rather confusing one for many people. Also, with the new version, you can set parameters for each format, which was not available in 1.7.0.
For resizing, version 2 comes with a few more options that should fulfill majority of user's needs.
