This sounds like a PyLNP issue or feature request to me. |
I ran into this error too on Ubuntu 18.04 Hitting "Play Dwarf Fortress!" in the LNP would crash my configured terminal as soon as it's opened. The log shows:
I ran into the same error message as @matkoniecz when running |
I got the same issue with the latest version on both Ubuntu and Opensuse. I get to the LNP menu, press play and blop a terminal opens and then closes with the log stating the same as @Foxyblue . |
Can you check stderr.txt or stdout.txt for any information? |
stderr.txt
what is posted in the terminal that i ran ./startlnp from...
|

i have similar problem

PyLNP is looking for fonts. Install the package libsdl-ttf2.0-0. https://packages.debian.org/buster/libsdl-ttf2.0-0 Fixed the issue on MX Linux 19.4 64 bit AHS (Debian Buster). |
directly starting DF revealer error message - starting DF from LNP GUI was not resulting in terminal window flashing
LNP should show error to user or at least mention that DF crashed on start
