I am on 5.27.5 and it doesn't seem to work anymore and was wondering if it was just a me thing or a global thing

Plasma 5.27.5? I have 5.27.6 running on my system and it seems to work without issues. You can try the following:

Check if sticky-mouse-trap is running in the system monitor
Kill the process and run it in the terminal. See if any unusual error messages are shown
Upgrade the system
Check if you are really running an X11 session

If the issues are not resolved please tell me the exact issues you are having. Does the program crash or just doesn't stop the mouse like it should?
