.gitignore를 설정함으로써 원하지 않는 파일이 repository에 업로드되는 것을 방지하고 데이터 충돌을 방지할 수 있다.

github에 업데이트 사항을 넣을 때 인증작업을 수행하기 위해 필요한 것이 SSH key이다. 다른 사람이 자신의 repository에 push하는 경우 등을 방지하기 위해 github에 자신의 컴퓨터를 인증하는 것이다.
