Inefficient of internet usage

So everytime i open a manga kotatsu will automatic update the info manga such as image cover and also the chapter list. And i find out that it is inefficient because when i download a new chapter and i go back to another manga to download a new chapter and go back to the first manga kotatsu will request an update again.

My problem is:

1. I need to wait until kotatsu serve all list chapter again before can read the downloaded chapter
2. I wasted internet to update nothing to all manga whenever i click it. Because kotatsu will automatically update again even less than a minute before the last time i click the manga.

Is there a way to use manual update? Thank you
