Exporting Projects
To export a project, select the caret on "Export" in the side menu to expand the options. 3 options are currently supported:
- JSON: This is the native format of the app, recommended for backups and transfers between installations.
- Viscoll XML: This is the format used by the collation modeller by the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
- PNG: This produces a single image of the collation diagram.
Select one of the options. For JSON and Viscoll XML, you will be given a choice to download the export as a file or copy it to your clipboard. For PNG, you will be taken directly to a download.
To import a project, go to the main menu, select "New", then select "Import". You will see the following form:
You may either paste the exported data into the text area, or upload a file containing the data via the "Import from file" field. Finish by clicking "Next".
