i pulled the code from here
git https://github.com/Kippykip/SBITools

but how do i compile it or run it with an interpreter in Linux (Ubuntu 20)?

This small project was never written with ANY linux in mind at all.
It calls windows explorer and psxtools from the command line.

idk how ;w;
I'm still learning linux distros and toying with them, but usually have issues compiling BMX stuff in general. But also I'd have to find a way to generate the blank .SUB files without the psxt00lz dependency

also, I don't think CloneCD even works under WINE, so I'm not sure how to even burn the .CCD/.SUB result for a modchipped PS1 under linux while not tampering with the subchannel.

You can convert ccd/sub/img to toc/bin with aaru then burn that with cdrdao.

psxt00lz now also works in wine since a year or 2 ago so sbitools is basically fully compatible with Linux nowadays.
