What happened?

when i change something on the general settings page.
I change into another page and comeback. settings revert to default.

  • change something :

  • go to another page and come back to the general settings :

What did you expect?

I think this is saving settings properly when switching page ?

Same issue for me on a fresh Windows install. Workaround is manually editing the relevant config file.

Which settings in particular are resetting after modification? Is it just base url or other ones as well?

I have the same problem. I only encounter this problem when changing general settings (like base url, port or folder watching etc). There is no problem with other settings, so I don't think it is related to folder permissions.

Sorry for the late reply, yes this "bug" is only on this page and affect all the option.

Can y'all try this on a fresh incognito window? I just tested again and it's working perfectly. Another issue had similar issues with Email settings and it was a cache issue.

i test with edge and firefox incognito mode and same problem for me. i clear the cache.
Althought before posted the bug i tried to install kavita server on another pc and i had the same problem. i have win11 Pro 23H2 and 24H2 on the other pc.

Can someone inspect the dev tools and for the settings/ API tell me the error message or look in the logs and give me the message?

don't have any info on kavita log :

I have a hard time testing this because my form behaves very badly. it eats my input and overwrites what I try to use.
