I had PCBWay build me a handful of boards from their Shared-Projects. I think that's the "esp8266 atmosphere sensor" board ?
Anyway, it works fine on my trolly operators but I also have a shop that has two 8500C's (yellow button) with 889LM controls. With the above boards connected, the 889LM flashes orange, and the doors randomly open which doesn't help with my rodent problem.
After doing some searching, it looks like the 8500C is Security 1.0+ but with yellow buttons? Do I understand this correctly? I saw reference to some "solution in comment #50" but have since lost it and I don't even know if it's applicable to the boards I got.
So for my benefit and anyone who stumbles upon this discussion in the future, is there a simple mod I can make on these boards to fix my 8500C problem? (I'm using the ESPHome firmware fwiw)
Also, unrelated to this... The PCBWay experience was not great. They ordered/installed BMP280's instead of BME280's so I can get Pressure/Temp but not Humidity, which, as it turns out, is something I need in order to decide when to turn on the dehumidifier. They did refund me for the mistake to their credit.
