Looking for help maintaining this project #279
Comments
@chingor13 My team (@HireFrederick) is using this project pretty actively so we'd be willing to help out if there is interest. I'll ask my folks. |
My team is also using this library pretty heavily and would be willing to help contribute |
@chingor13 Can you answer the wonderful guys up here? |
Thanks folks for the responses. My main ask is that we maintain backwards compatibility (as many people use the gem) and to make sure any new features are globally useful (usually a pluggable abstraction). |
@Jed-Giblin What team do you work for? It looks like I may have to move this project to its own organization to get better user controls beyond adding collaborators. |
@chingor13 👍 on moving the gem to its own organization. I would advocate that we start organizing the list of features we may want to implement. I will discuss with my team how we might want to allocate resources to this open source project and we can set up a Gitter room. |
What is the status on this? Hoping the gem is moving behind the scenes, but want to verify this gem is still alive? |
@chingor13 I can help you with maintaining the project |
@chingor13 I would love to contribute. There are a few open PRs that I would love to get in and fix some outstanding bugs. |
@jsmestad do you plan to continue with your fork or contribute with this one? Out of necessity i ended up implementing my own client lib, so now feel i could also help contributing to one of the libraries. Ideally we could all concentrate efforts on just one. |
@pablocrivella I think I am going to continue the fork. I would like to make some improvements to the query interface to better support things like Happy to have you lend a hand 🥇 |
We meet again, @chingor13 : D. I use this gem and am using my team to use it also. We would love to help maintain it. |
hi there .. i also want to support this project... and add a fail cache mechanism.. we use this for calling small services and it will help to add support for service degradation as well . |
@mihairadulescu can you use faraday middleware for degradation handling? |
Hi @chingor13, we at @blueapron use this gem pretty heavily as well and could help maintain it. I've personally created a similar client to introduce an easier syntax (e.g. closer to ActiveRecord): https://github.com/KevinBongart/dayman |
@chingor13 I'm interested in maintaining this project. We are using this gem actively in our internal project |
@chingor13 May I join in maintaining this project? Thanks |
I am available to the “active” level
|
Hey folks,
As you probably notice, I'm not very active on this project. With a young toddler and a long commute, I don't have much time to contribute to this project.
I'm looking for help maintaining this project. If you're interested, please let me know.
