Dear all,

I hope you can advise me.

I have a set of 17-year ringing data which I have divided into 3 Periods: Period 1 (October-November), Period 2 (December-January) ,and Period 3(February-March). The effort has not been constant due to logistics and weather, i.e., one period might have 10 ringing session (or as we usually measure, 590 m of nets) and another 6 (354 m of nets). My aim is to know if diversity has changed over time in the ringing station. So, the data is from the same spot and I will analyze each Period apart. My data are total number of each species per period.
I have been testing the INEXT package for the last weeks and struggle to find information about similar studies. For my analysis, would the best approach be to use the Point estimation function with the base="coverage"? estimateD(birdcommunity, datatype="abundance", base="coverage", level= 0.985, conf=0.95).

Many thanks for your advice
