I have mod menu beta and cloth config downloaded for Minecraft 1.21.4 with fabric mod loader. When i open mod menu and press the button to configure bobby so that I can change max render distance, nothing happens. In setting, the max render distance is 32 chunks but bobby should allow more?

this is a really big problem because it makes the mod unusable and just useless to have in the newer version of the game. hope they fix it soon. <3

There is a way to solve this problem. I'm not sure if it works on Windows 10, but on Windows 11 if you follow these steps it should work:

  1. Hold Windows + R and type %appdata%
  2. Double click on the .minecraft folder
  3. Then enter either the : 1.config folder OR 2.the minecraft instance of the world with the mod THEN the config folder
  4. Then right click on the bobby.conf CONF File, then open with Notepad
  5. Scroll down until you see the row: # Requires Sodium.
    max-render-distance=32
  6. Change the number to whatever you want (I recommend numbers like 64, 128, 256, 512, and 1024
  7. Click File and Save then close Notepad
  8. Restart your minecraft then load up your world

PS. THIS DOESN'T ENABLE THE CONFIG BUTTON TO WORK BUT CHANGING THE NUMBER IN STEP 5. AND 6. DOES DO THE SAME THING (ITS JUST NOT AS EASY)

Note: I haven't tried this on any other computer but i don't see why it shouldn't work

I LITTERALLY MADE A BRAND NEW GITHUB ACCOUNT TO HELP YOU GUYS SO PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK!!!!!!!
