I have an example plot in which I've elected to display median (rather than mean) markers, but in which I've also elected to have the error bars indicate the Mean & CI. Ideally, I would like to see the mean and the median at the same time.
It seems to me that that an unobtrusive mean marker could be added to the Mean & CI (and Mean & CI) displays without causing confusion or undue clutter. In my graphical example below, I've marked the mean (as best as I can visually estimate) with a small, black-outlined, white white box.
Thanks for considering.
