If I try to dig a hole through the planet to get to the other side, I get stuck on the last piece of rock i dig just before reaching the other side. Also if I did manage to get out, the world would have been upside down so it would need turning around. OS: GNU/Linux (Ubuntu, Antergos)

Oh yes, this is sort of a known issue since the digging through the planet feature is actually just teleportation. In order to really jump through the planet you have to already have a hole in place. In order to dig one, enable free move (k) and fly downwards until it teleports you to the "other side", then stop moving downwards (this can be a bit tricky, since it may teleport you back and forth). There you can start to remove blocks and dig a hole upwards. The world won't be upside down, you will be instantly flipped once you reach the center.

Or you can just download the demo world and jump through the hole there.

What if we jump to the hole through the planet...
For example, You have symmetrical sphere and hole through it. So you should have identical distance from surface to center of the sphere. Now, if you jump to the hole, gravity should disperse you to some speed, and in same time, when you reach the center - it should start slow down you.
So, the question: in which distance from center on another side of sphere You should stop (speed = 0)?

  • Should definitely die at 0 point?
Lava + hight pressure will kill us.
  • Can we get out of there?
If we have that strength that allow as to jump/climb on surface, so we should do the same in center of the sphere?
  • Should we stop in smaller distance from surface, like a ball, or pendulum did not stop in same point?
