I created a separate repo for an open standard I'd like to call sTag. Since LSL now lets you scan attachments, you can use your attachment descriptions as tag lists, sharing some metadata for NPCs and such. This is a lot more versatile than what the JasX HUD is doing. Especially since a HUD can't be scanned through the same system.
Having gender and species set passively through descriptions is more beneficial than doing it through the HUD. As such I want to do the following:
Have the HUD read your sTags every minute or so, and on change update the settings in the HUD.
Add a button to the HUD to refresh your sTags.
Add an sTag builder to the HUD to help you setup the tags for your avatar and outfits.
Deprecate setting your gender and species through the JasX HUD.
Note that you will still be able to READ gender and species from the HUD for legacy reasons. But my intent is to do all the settings through attachment descriptions.
This will allow us (and other creators) to do cool stuff with NPCs. Like imagine an NPC that reacts differently to cats, or complements you on your nice long tail, or be scaroused because your avatar is very big and muscular.
