The download configuration file passed to the shanoir2bids.py script is designed at subject (see template) or examination (also called session) level (see template) in the longitudinal case. Hence, in theory one configuration file per subject/session has to be used if subject/session have different properties amongst a Shanoir study. An other possibility would be to have a configuration file per study. It would imply to have nested properties inside the .json file e.g.

sessions: [{subject: subname, session:sessionname ,date: session_date}] 
}

This issue is there to document this possibility and for discussion

Some checks should be added if session keyword is not present
