Have installed OSC 2.4.1 in Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon and is working but
OSCViewer is just not opening and there is no error whatsoever.
Please help. Thank you.

I would like to chime in and say it would not open for me on Fedora 38 either. Running it from the command line resulted in:
oscviewer: error while loading shared libraries: libconfig.so.9: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I do have libconfig.x86_64 installed. My guess it that OSCViewer expects a specific version/filename though. The filename on my system in /usr/lib64 was libconfig.so.11.1.0. As a quick test I copied that file, naming the copy libconfig.so.9. After that OSCViewer opened fine.

Now, I do not recommend anyone who might come across this go start renaming shared libraries in /usr/lib, but I do hope it proves useful for someone who may know how to implement a fix.

Thank you both, that is useful info. I'll be looking into that.
