Hello DeepNeuropePred Team,

First of all, I would like to thank you for developing the DeepNeuropePred tool and making it available to the community. It's a valuable resource for researchers interested in protein processing and the study of neuropeptides.

I am currently engaged in a project that involves the analysis of neuropeptide cleavage sites and was very interested in the dataset used in your study. Specifically, I am looking for more detailed information about the positions of the positive cleavage sites within the neuropeptide precursors.

I have reviewed the documentation and publications related to this project, but I was unable to find the exact positions of these cleavage sites in your dataset. Having this information would greatly assist in my analysis of cleavage site predictions.

Could you please provide more details on this or guide me on how I might access this data? Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Bhavani Chalamalla

Dear Bhavani,

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you, and thank you for your patience. We truly appreciate your interest in the DeepNeuropePred tool and are glad that it is valuable to your research.

Regarding your query on the positions of the positive cleavage sites, while we do not provide this information directly in the dataset, you can retrieve it from the UniProt database using the sequence IDs included. UniProt contains detailed annotations, including cleavage sites, which should assist with your analysis.

Unfortunately, due to time constraints and a shift in our team's focus, we will not be able to continue maintaining or updating this project moving forward. However, we hope that the current resources and the guidance provided will still support your research.

Thank you for your understanding, and feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
Lei Wang
