19119 schemas? #179
Comments
A proposal for OGC to host them was discussed at their Technical Committee plenary six months ago. I will chase them up again to see whether there is any progress. That at least would have them stable in a reasonably well known place! I'd still be interested in an 'official' TC211 answer, from XMG |

Marten - do you have a current copy of the schema? |
I don't, but WMO hosts them here: https://wis.wmo.int/2011/schemata/iso19139_2007/schema/srv/srv.xsd |
I've always used the schemas that are connected with the apiso.xsd for csw 2.0.2, |
The difference is that the one on the OGC page in the 20060504 folder use a version of the 19139 schemas that import a GML version that never had any official status. That is a well-known problem with CSW. The ones on the WMO site import GML 3.2.1 = ISO 19136:2007 (like the ones at http://schemas.opengis.net/iso/19139/20070417/, but the OGC copy does not include the srv schema as it is not part of the ISO 19139 schemas). |
Perhaps the solution then is that ISO actually hosts these schema themselves? |
I would be happy to work them into the standards.iso.org, but I need to get ahold of the schema…

Noticed that this fell through the cracks. I just copied the schemas from https://wis.wmo.int/2011/schemata/iso19139_2007/schema/srv to this repository in a new directory 19119 (standards.iso.org/iso/19119/srv). I am currently negotiating with ISO Central to get these files uploaded... or they will be uploaded to the new resource site at tc211 (still working on that as well). Are these the best schema available? |
will you host the 19119 schemas (for 19139 encoding) here also as a permanent resource? it appears the IGN France version was retired
