I think it would be really interesting for outsiders to be able to see what can be/has been done with SIMPA. It could be good to promote some of the papers that use SIMPA and could perhaps help convince others of why they should use it too by including somewhere the different works that have used simpa, and some example images.
Describe the solution you'd like
A page in SIMPA with a list of papers that used SIMPA, with images of their interesting results created using SIMPA simulations and perhaps best case a short (2 line) summary of how and why the paper used SIMPA. This should be linked somewhere to the readme so that it's easily accessible. The readme could also have a couple of images showcasing some simulations.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Indeed, people can just look up the simpa paper and see where it has been cited. But I think it would be nice to have one collection with all of the key info in.
