Here, I've done two things. First, from Janek's comment I've added a bit more documentation to the benchmarking.md file explicitly indicating:
[x] Which files are overwritten between runs
[x] How to install the dependencies
I've also changed the run_benchmarking.sh so that it exits when a process creates an error, rather than continuing its iterations.
