Theme switch issue

I have tried in various ways to make a switch to be able to change the theme of my site in react but I have not succeeded in any way.

I thought I had come to a solution but in the end it turned out to be wrong.

In the official site the switch is not there but in the code there are the commented parts.

Removing the comments the switch appears and actually changes the theme from light to dark and vice versa, but if you change the page the theme resets.

For example: if you are on home, clear theme and change the theme with the switch the colors change.

If you try to blog, the colors come back light instead of staying dark.

I don't know how to do it, I hope someone is better than me!
