When entering into Bolse Defense Station stage, the player's ship as well as the energy towers, enemy ships and central fixture do not appear, rendering the stage unplayable. This occurs during normal play and when entering directly to stage with level select debug option.

Player's ship as well as crosshairs are not visible once control is gained:

The same assets are missing during the intro cutscene (the energy shield in the center is normally visible):

Hi, I’m not experiencing this issue on my end, even after multiple attempts
Are you sure you weren’t running any debug features outside of the level select at any point during your playthrough?

These were the only debug options active when this issue was encountered. Deactivating "Skip Briefing" option changed nothing.

Issue was encountered on both DirectX and OpenGL rendering options as well.

Same thing happens for me in Bolse and also in Katina. No cutscene plays for either. The little pyramid in Katina is visible, but nothing in Bolse. No debug options on. Changed graphics settings to max when i first booted up the game, but didn't change anything else before I got to Katina as normal.

Same issue here on a few levels;

What's interesting is I've played it on two devices, both windows computers. Computer A was set to 125% scaling and 4x MSAA with a Geforce 1080ti graphics card - no cheats or debug options. The second was set to 200% scaling, 2160p, 8x MSAA, and the following cheats: Infinite Lives, Hyper Lasers, Unbreakable Wings, Infinite Bombs.

The issue occurred in the following ways:

  • On Sector X, initially it loaded the arwing incredibly tiny during the cutscene, then nothing happened. Disabled some of the cheats and reduced graphics settings, and I was able to get it to render the arwing properly after retrying the stage. Despite this, the level never loaded however - it was just an infinite empty space.
  • On Bolse, the cutscene played without objects, but the turrets were out of position and the shield towers/arwing/reticle were missing. Disabling/retrying did nothing.
  • On Venom, the descent cutscene played without the arwing or any dialogue (unsure if there is any here), and then got an infinite scrolling stage. Disabled some options and retried, and I was able to get the arwing but no reticle, which I used to beat the game.

In all cases, enabling/disabling various fixes did not help with the issue.

Update:

I think I've narrowed it down some. While the cheats were not on when the level loaded, I had used some earlier in the playthrough to reset after a retry/allow infinite retries.

Unlimited Lives seems to be tied to the lack of reticule, to the point that enabling it once might have eliminated my cursor for the rest of the game.
Unbreakable Wings MAY be tied to the cutscene glitch
