since previewing a mint takes forever with tor this felt the highest priority thing to me. also trying to move toward toasts for more error messages making it to the frontend. it's hard if they're all state-based, but I can make this an easy-to-use function in
main.rsand when in doubt we just toast everything good or bad that happens
