Server hangs on BetterFPS patching and needs to be killed

This has happened a couple of times sporadically. I keep thinking I've fixed the issue and then it happens again. You'll note that in my logs it says my entry of "vanilla" is invalid because I typed it wrong - but the same issue occurs with the mod's default option.

Each time it hangs, I give it a few minutes in case it just needs to take its time. After about 3min, I give the stop command to the server. After another minute or so, when it becomes clear that the server isn't responding, I kill the process.

Sometimes restarting fixes the issue, and sometimes it doesn't. To the best of my knowledge, this is a very recent occurrence (last week or so) and I do not think I have made any significant changes to my environment in that time.

I haven't had this issue in a few days, where I usually would have. The changes I made were to delete the config and allow it to regenerate as default. Additionally, I switched my server container from OpenJ9 Eclipse back to HotSpot.

I'm not sure which was what fixed it, but I figured I'd comment them both here in case anyone else has this issue. I'm going to leave closing this ticket to the dev's discretion, in case the issue is something they want to look into.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue, it hangs on

when using Openj9 JVM. Using hotspot without issues.
