This is the minimum for a functional and scalable system.

Main Project Deliverables:

  • System Users
  • Tree planters
  • Tree Planting Organizations
  • Tree Funders

Deliverables include:

  • Basic level of transparency to tree planting anywhere in the world.
  • Essentials for tracking tree planting,
  • Increased funding for planting with an interactive tool
  • Statistics on tree survival rates.
  • Tree token inventory/inventory turnover - create and sell a stock of tree tokens

In this phase, we aim to:

  • provide tree mapping for individuals and organizations
  • link funds to specific sets of trees and tree planting efforts to sources of funding.
  • Statistically measure tree planting success over time.
  • Unite and link tree planting efforts.
  • Create an idea that tree planting should be a tracked and transparent process.
  • Create a relationship between other organization’s donors and trees/tree planters
  • Build an inventory of tree token assets.
  • Start selling 'limited' tree tokens
  • Obtain the necessary funding and other resources to build the ongoing program.

Milestone Acceptance Criteria:

  • A system capable of linking smallholder planters to funding (300 planters)
  • Providing basic planting maps to tree planting organizations. (20 Organizations)
  • Obtain 500,000 tree data points.
  • Secure funding for tier two program.

Phase Exclusions:

  • Widespread smallholder planter employment
  • Trees Tracked individually
  • Individual tree Survival verification
  • Linking donations to specific trees over time
  • Robust system, capable of processing millions of uploading tree/data assets a day
  • Provide planter feedback
  • Open datasets to the scientific community
  • Advanced tree data searches
  • Carbon estimates for specific trees
  • Trees tracking support for recreational planters
  • Sustainable income from living trees
  • In-app finances (facial recognition/mobile money based)
  • Linking to commercial revenue streams (carbon, the coffee cup that plants trees, games, social recognition badges, the gas pumps)
  • Linking to other systems (Forest Watch, Etc)
  • Planned/controlled planting diversity
  • Controlling planting locations
  • Direct individual planter activation and funding
  • Linking to tracking via remote sensing (satellite image history)
  • “Planters accounts verification” as a base for smallholder farmer loans at lower rates than current agricultural loan providers which are charging exorbitant rates
  • Training session and Tutorials on organic farming intercropping and a more sustainable agriculture involving and including trees.
  • Blockchain-based trading platform and verification system involving consumers.
