Hello GrapheneOS Team,
I recently noticed a characteristic of vanadium that bothers me a little.
I hope this is the right place to report this "bug".

On pages with emoji, for example emojipedia, these are displayed in monochrome versions. In my opinion, this makes it very confusing, especially with flags.

Is there a specific reason for this? In Google Chrome I was shown the normal, colored emoji.

There should be no difference in how these are rendered in Vanadium. Can you give an example and try in Chrome too?

Hello,
here is a screenshot of Vanadium (top) and Google Chrome (bottom).

I also tried the website in a new user profile and the first time I loaded it, the emojis were colored. The set design (dark mode) seems to have no influence on the appearance.

This behavior is also observed on other well-known Chromium based browsers with the exception of Chrome
