For the purposes of this feature request, a "reading order" consists of a visibility (similar to visibility of a my.comics.org collection), description and an ordered sequence of issues (or stories).
For instance, a Deathlok (Luther Manning) reading order would start in Astonishing Tales and then continue through other Deathlok appearances, similar to the stories reprinted in Deathlok the Demolisher: The Complete Collection.
While the story of some characters, such as Deathlok, has been compiled together into paperback editions making for an easy single point-of-purchase acquisition of the storyline, not everything has been compiled in this manner. User-contributed reading orders would provide a way for users to interact with the GCD beyond indexing of stories.
A good first iteration would surface public reading orders on the user's profile page. If reading orders become more popular, a public reading order landing page could be created.

I was inspired by this: https://cmro.travis-starnes.com/ which is a great site, but most of these reading orders present only one POV on how to best approach the multiple decades of a character's history. With the knowledgeable indexers we have I figure they would have their own takes on how to best read a story arc or how to best read stories for a particular character.
With the existing information in the GCD, we can provide a richer cross-linked browsing experience I'd think.
