#672 introduced webp support. But some people wonder if webp module is really required. See https://www.drupal.org/project/webp/issues/3331986

Some devs mentioned they dropped webp module and replaced it with wpf https://www.drupal.org/project/webp/issues/3331986#comment-15076543

So maybe it is a good thing to do. As webp had some issues in the past for DS. #692
