Embed GetOrganizedBK social media feeds on the homepage.
What problem are we trying to solve?
Currently, there are no links to GetOrganizedBK social media on the home page. We want to easily surface GOBK’s Twitter account, and display that content on the home page.
Ideally, we could create Twitter and Instagram feeds that would show multiple accounts in one feed, so that visitors see the full breadth of GOBK activism.
Who will benefit (directly and indirectly) from this project?
GetOrganizedBK activists will benefit by getting the word out about their events and timely/urgent actions, and getting more followers on the social media accounts.
Visitors to getorganizedbk.org will more easily be able to follow and stay in touch with GOBK.
The Digital Team will benefit from embedding social content, because it will keep the website fresh without having to manually add content.
Where can we find any research/data available/articles?
IF we can add multiple accounts in one feed, we will need to consider that other Twitter accounts may be added later.
Also consider if a getorganizedbk Instagram feed (or tag #getorganizedbk) might be added at a future date.
What are the next steps (validation, research, coding, design)?
Research how to embed Twitter and/or Instagram feeds on the home page - whether its a plug-in, or custom solution.
Design the feed UI, if customizable, and decide where to place the feed (in footer or in section on home page), if possible.
Implement solution on home page.
Create individual feed(s) for working group pages in the Divi Library, and apply modules on applicable working group pages.
