Develop estimate of necessary computational resources to do the image simulations in the full Roman/Rubin region, so we can determine whether we can run them in-house or need additional resources

Approximate estimate:

  • 10000 CPU hours to simulate with current code version
  • 5000 for processing
  • 6 GB RAM
  • 15 TB storage including single exposures and tiles

Estimate does not include catalog-level sims, which should be subdominant.
