In the AppStore when you tap on the App Support button it redirects to www.ie.uia.mx and there is no information about the app or support. There should be a special website for this

Do you think the GitHub pages feature would help with this?

Yeah we could do a GitHub page but i think that would be more for the open source projects. I think we should have a webpage in www.ie.uia.mx dedicated to give information about the apps. Also that would help promote the department.

:S ... sounds good, the only reason why I wanted to use the GitHub page is because, this fixes the problem of having to do web design and until we solve #21 I don't think we should get into it.

www.ie.uia.mx is under wordpress i think checks source
yes, it is wordpress... we shouldn't have many problems with creating content for it (and it would be automatically templated to the main page's CSS)...

Quick update (after 7 months of forgetting).
Edgar would be happy to host us a section in www.ie.uia.mx.
I proposed the following:
Create a wordpress sketch, we can do a small host somewhere else (www.wordpress.com?).
Link it to a GitHub page internally, I don't know (maybe a bug-report ticket system would be nice).
They rehost the webpage (idk if wordpress can export or something)
We update the app.

Ideas?

Hello,

Thanks for checking on this, if we can get something on the site linking to the issue tracker (ideally once we open source the project). All that we would want would probably be a more in-depth description of the application and a link to the issue tracker.

I recently noticed this service that can be plugged in very easily with other applications to receive user feedback:

Ok,

Did some sketching, forget about the looks, it seems that should be taken care of in the uia.mx template.
What we should look at is:

  • The content in the MATSOL page
  • Whether we should make it a GIDA page or a sole MATSOL page
  •  Whether it should be in spanish, english or both (+ any other language)

Here it is: http://polarbearsdevteam.wordpress.com/
Password to view pages: do.not.eat (thats what the stuff to keep my food dry says).

Cheers!

Well, oddly enough the looks are fine IMHO.

We probably want a MATSOL only page for now though if you are interested to pursue it would make sense to have the GIDA page as well.

Spanish and English ... if you want to go the extra mile (for a beer next time we meet), French. But mainly those two.

We should also probably pair this with the open-sourcing of MATSOL.

What is the procedure to OpenSource this? do we open the repo and that's it? I want to be completely sure that all parts involved agree on making this move.

No, we need to:

- Decide on a license.
- Acknowledge any external code (if there's any used).
- Decide on authorship and ownership.
- Open the repository
- Add a license, etc to the about view in the app itself.
