After talking with @eranrund, it seems like this can be done with webhooks.

Let's do it when we have 100 installs.

This would be really useful.

We are starting to use Firebot and we have to notify users not on github about updates and whenever an issue has been solved.

Quick question @PierBover
There are a slew of things that can happen to an issue which may trigger an email notification (e.g. being tagged, new comment, comment edited, reaction added, issue closed, issue assigned, etc). Are there any particular events (e.g. issue closed) that would be most valuable to have email notifications for?

"Issue closed" would be essential so the sales people can stop annoying us. :)

Replies to the issue would also be very helpful. And if those emails could be replied to and added to the issue in question that would be amazing.

This is the primary thing keeping us from not using Fire at the moment.

Letting clients know when the Issue has been closed and otherwise being kept in the loop about the Issue that they opened via email would be ideal. Otherwise it seems that once a client opens an Issue there is no communication unless you dig up their email address and email them directly.

+1. The whole reason we want to use this is for non-Github users.

2 year bump. @eranrund - any update on direction?
