Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I'd like to sample anything in the world and play with sample recorded instead of downloading samples to samples folder.

Describe the solution you'd like
A way to record sample on the actual LMN-3. The input could go from external sound card as I think RPi doesn't have mic input in their jack.

Describe alternatives you've considered
We could have a shortcut that would open a linux program in bg and record till other keystroke pressed. The sample would then be placed in samples folder.

I checked the code and writing that would be a bit too difficult for me atm. Would need a good timeframe to code it. Maybe @stonepreston ?
