freshports.sh in the scripts directory (not part of GitHub) was used to replace the existing virtual host with an offline page.

Perhaps it's time to create that for how things are done now.

This script was removed from subversion with Committed revision 6033.

Either:

  • each host needs to be strictly configured
  • the script needs to be customized for each host
