Glyssen Reference Texts

Glyssen currently has two open-source "reference texts" in English and Russian.
FCBH has several others whose backing text is encumbered, and we have not so far been able to get permission to include those with the software. Some of those languages do have unencumbered translations, so it would be possible to produce some additional one.

I guess you're aware of https://ebible.org/download.php. I often use these Bibles (available in USFM as well as several other formats) for testing.

Yes. When we first started working on creating the reference texts for FCBH, we used their Excel files as the source and we weren't aware of the licensing issues for a long time. It shouldn't be hard to create new reference texts from open versions of Bibles using Glyssen itself, but ideally that should be done by someone who speaks the language. I speak Spanish, so I could do that one, but technically that's not my job, so I've resisted the temptation.
