Affected Android/Custom ROM version

Android 14

Affected device model

Stock Android

How did you install the apps?

F-Droid / IzzyOnDroid

Which apps are affected?

Calendar, Contacts

Steps to reproduce the bug

Try to enable the automatic backups with a path like Internal/Documents/Backup.

Expected behavior

I'm redirected to an access page where I can give access to Internal/Documents and then it is enabled.

Actual behavior

The access page opens and I can allow it, but after closing this, I get a toast saying Wrong folder selected, please select path 'root'.

Even if I would like to give this permission, it's not possible because Android blocks it.

It works for the directory Internal/Downloads, but seemingly for nothing else.

Found the issue. Somehow "Don't keep activities" was enabled in android debug settings. Sorry for the noise
