Bug Report

Current Behavior
I don't know if this is new to the Gnome 45 branch or pre-existing, because I never used "Paste-on-Select" on the original extension. But if I pull up the emoji picker with the keybinding, and then type in the search box and arrow keys to find an emoji, then sometimes rather than pasting it in the main app, it instead pastes it into its own search box. This can sometimes lead to weird issues where it then copies both emoji, and now my clipboard has two or three different emoji in it.

Expected behavior/code
The main window would close, focus would be restored to what had it before the emoji picker was opened, and then it would paste.

Environment

  • emoji-copy version(s): 12
  • OS: Gnome 45

Hey @psycotica0! Thanks for reporting this bug!! 🎉
I just tested here, and yes, this actually happens from time to time.
I don't know why yet, but looks like the Gnome is focusing on the top bar instead focusing directly on the extension pop up.
I tested it by spamming the right arrow ➡, and it started to move within the icons in my Gnome top bar.
I will keep my eyes on this bug and find a solution for it! Thank you so much! 🚀
