FIRST Tech Challenge Live v5.2.1
CENTERSTAGE Official Release
This release pairs with a significant update to Advancement in the online scoring system. The only change to FTC Live is the addition of Promote Award Eligibility as a property of each team. Advancement, Inspire, and Promote eligibility are now all pre-calculated by the online scoring system prior to the download & import of the database into FTC Live that occurs during the "Play Event Locally" step. We strongly encourage Tournaments (any events with Awards & Advancement) that are still adding the team list at the event instead of online ahead of time to please add the team list online before setting up FTC Live to ensure FTC Live has the correctly calculated award & advancement data. Details about the update to the online scoring system are included in these notes. Please contact support if you believe there is an error in the calculated values.
The latest version of the scoring system can be downloaded from https://ftc-scoring.firstinspires.org/local/2024

Major improvements:
- Adds Promote Award Eligibility
- Teams can be marked "Ineligible" for Promote, in which case a small warning triangle will appear beside them in Award Management if they are awarded any place of the Promote award.
- Eligibility is set in the local database when the "Play Event Locally" action is taken. Do not initiate the setup before previous events are complete. A warning will show if data for previous events is missing. Contact support if that appears incorrect. If an event is setup early, re-doing the setup after previous data is published will correct it, but any locally changed data will be lost (ie matches!). There is currently no syncing of eligibility data that may change after setup.
Notes on the update to the online scoring system: - Advancement, Inspire, and Promote Eligibility are calculated instead of user-entered.
- Out-of-region teams are marked as ineligible for Advancement & Inspire.
- Any team that has already won Promote anywhere at the effective Competition Level is marked Ineligible.
- Any team that has already won Inspire at the Competition Level is marked Ineligible.
- Any team that has already competed more than twice within their home region is marked ineligible for Advancement & Inspire.
- The Advancement, Inspire, and Promote inputs have an "Override" button that will allow forcing an eligibility state. Please consult with your PDP & FIRST Staff before overriding.
- The Eligibility Report on the Team List Editor no longer shows the check marks for actionable items. All ineligibilities are highlighted yellow. If an override has been entered that differs from the calculated value, a warning icon is shown.
- Advancement to Super Qualifying Tournaments is mutually-exclusive. Regardless of which SQT a team has advanced to, they will show as "Already Advanced" if they compete at another event that advances to an SQT.
