One of the reasons for this is that the mizuRoute control file is outside of the scope of the cime namelist mechanism generation. So it doesn't have a list of the needed files in the namelist_definition xml file. So the way to handle this now is to send the filename to the rof.input_data_list file directly. So that will need to be explicitly added in the buildnml for each filename that needs to be in the list. |

In the buildnml we need to add the list of files that mizuRoute is going to read to the file: for.input_data_list. Currently we've been relying on those files already being in place for mizuRoute to work. Adding this will allow cime to download them before the run is done. I noticed this starting to work on izumi, since it wasn't automatically downling the needed files.
