I understand kernels in Linux since I run and compile my own kernels in Linux.
On the OP5T the hardware hasn't changed, so couldn't a kernel for Pie still work in Oreo?
My understanding is that OnePlus would only create/update/change hardware firmware to include different support, that I then suppose would be the new changes in a Pie Kernel, but that the overall support for the hardware under Oreo would still work and be the same.
So can v4.1.0-oos run in Oreo?
Thanks
