Welcome to the SkullDougery wiki! I just felt like playing around for Halloween... but this playtoy has a purpose. The framework I've developed here will be the basis of other projects using the ESP32.

This version plays a pre-stored MP3 file, causing the eyes to blink and jaw to move in response to the amplitude of the music.

The Short term plans include adding Rotate and Nod logic, causing the skull to follow a person as he/she/it moves in the vicinity of the skull. (probably using opencv on a PI with a camera?)

In addition, the ability to upload a 'new' mp3 file might be usefull, too!

Longer term plans include:

  • direct input from a microphone.
  • Animating various other parts of a skeleton (i.e.: shoulders, arms, waist, etc).
