In a recent testing session of the DP Post-Processing Workbench (ppwb), I was testing the option to compare the post-processing text as downloaded from a project page (CTF is Concatenated Text File).
Under "If comparing with a file from the rounds", I checked all three options (remove proofreaders' notes, regroup split words, silence formatting diffs), with "best effort" selected.
Please note that I did not do exhaustive testing, but I found that:
There were split words in the output
There was inline markup in the output
There were proofers' notes in the output.
The other thing that I found confusing was that the display showed trailing spaces in the output where the sources had none.
The attached zip contains my most recent test pair. Some of the tags had the problem, some did not. ctf-txt-compare.zip
Since I'm not an active PPer, I'm not entirely sure what I should be seeing, so I may be seeing problems where there are none. Let me know if there's further testing you'd like me to do.
