v1.5.9 Co-op with HX, improvements to Ninja JC and Stick With the Prod modes

Installation Instructions

Download the DeusEx.u file and put it in your game's System directory, which is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex\System (make a backup of the original DeusEx.u)

As usual, you will still be able to load your old saved games with this new version.

Co-op (Alpha) with HX mod

First download and install HX-0.9.89.4.zip from https://builds.hx.hanfling.de/testing/

Then copy HXRandomizer.u and HXRandomizer.int into the System directory of the game.

HXRandomizer is in early alpha testing and does not support all of the features that the single player randomizer has.

Changes

Most of the changes are focused on improving Ninja JC mode, and the Stick With the Prod modes

• Stick With the Prod has been renamed to Stick With the Prod Pure, I would highly recommend you attempt the Plus mode first because the Pure mode can be extremely difficult

• Both Stick With the Prod modes now start you with the stealth aug and the muscles aug, instead of the speed aug

  • I think the stealth aug suits the gameplay style better than the speed aug did

  • Muscles aug is very helpful when you need to use explosive barrels, since you can't use any explosive weapons

• Ninja JC mode now also allows the dragoon's tooth sword, pepper spray, and all grenades

• Slight nerf for base damage of throwing knives from 20 down to 18

• In Ninja JC mode, the animations for throwing knives and the sword are faster now, and scale even faster with higher low-tech skill

• You can now see the health bars for weld points, this can be useful in mission 9

• Items spawned by the challenge mode are now properly reduced by your difficulty settings (right now this is only biocells and throwing knives from Ninja JC mode)

• The goals menu is now cleared when you get to a new mission

• Weapon and ammo descriptions now show the max ammo you can carry

• Fixed a bug where sometimes the player would become invisible after using a backtracking helicopter

• Movement speed of enemies is now slightly randomized, from 90% to 110% speed
