Limit maximum quality when auto-tuning

Is it possible to limit the maximum quality when auto-tuning is enabled?

The video is available in 4k, and on the phone the bandwidth allows it to be played in this resolution. But the phone's resource does not allow playing videos in this quality without lags

Yes that is possible. You can achieve that in different ways:

• Set a maxRepresentationRatio : https://cdn.dashjs.org/latest/jsdoc/module-Settings.html#~AbrSettings. For instance you have eight different bitrates but only want the player to go as high as seven you can set it to 7/8
• Limit the max bitrate: https://reference.dashif.org/dash.js/nightly/samples/abr/max-min-bitrate.html
• Limit the maximum resolution based on the resolution of the device: https://cdn.dashjs.org/latest/jsdoc/module-Settings.html#~AbrSettings , see limitBitrateByPortal
