The approach of having a metalnxConfig.xml in /etc/irods-ext is treated as a provisional approach, it would be better to resolve how to fly in lists of resource locations in the metalnx.properties, perhaps through the addition of a dedicated cofiguration bean.

The current solution will at least allow theming to occur outside of the core app, but better approaches are probably available when time permits.
