C1 = 6 uF

C2 = 6 uF

C3 = 6 \uF

C4 = 6 uF

C5 = 6 uF

C6 = 6 uF

The capacitors C1, C2 and C3 are in series connection.

Equivalent capacitance of capacitors C1, C2 and C3 = C7

C7 = 2 uF

The capacitors C4, C5 and C6 are in series connection.

Equivalent capacitance of capacitors C4, C5 and C6 = C8

C8 = 2 uF

Now C7 and C8 are in parallel connection.

Equivalent capacitance due to C7 and C8 = C9

C9 = C7 + C8

C9 = 2 + 2

C9 = 4 uF

The equivalent capacitance between points a and b = 4 uF
