Mouse wheel only allows desktop zoom when

I just installed this plugin on Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS. After enabling it Alt+mouse wheel does not work.
But when I enter Activity showing all desktops, then Alt+mouse wheel seems to work. bit also that is switching between desktops while zooming at the same time. Any one has any ideas what might be wrong?

It seems you have to have the cursor at the top of the window when zooming. It's not seemless but I have been able to get it to work.

@barnent1 can you share your configuration file or screenshot?
For what ever reason I can not make wheel to work…

I just enabled it and it works. My initial issue, it seems like it was related to me working on USB Apple Keyboard, which I just noticed that it is labeled as dual label (Option , Alt), I just need to press Fn+Option, and zoom works.
So anyone on Apple Keyboard will have this problem. Is there a way, or could it be added to the next update, to remap the "Alt" key? It is impossible to use it right now since there are two Option/Alt keys. The one on far left end, is working, but the Fn key is between delete and Home ubttons, making it impossible to reach. The other Option/Alt just does not responds with Fn + scroll.
