Objective

The primary goal of this epic is to comprehensively investigate and understand the current state of the system, processes, and user interactions related to the UIPA.org portal. This investigation will serve as a foundation for subsequent improvements, enhancements, or strategic decisions.

Background

The current version of UIPA.org was forked from the Froide theme repository at https://github.com/okfde/froide-theme.

We have been told that there were some things added to the fork, however with the passage of time most of that knowledge has been lost. This epic's objective is to scope out what those differences are, so we can choose whether or not to keep & reimplement, potentially improve, or remove said behaviour.

The branches for this project are split up into the following:

  • main - Containing the code for the new and updated UIPA.org, this contains a new pull from the repo https://github.com/okfde/froide
  • master - Last touched by @ryankanno as of 2018, should be feature complete and contain the features added on top of the initial fork
  • v2 - Last touched by @sthapa as of 2022, contains general maintenance work on top of the code that was last pushed to master

I ran an accessibility test on the current site just to pulse-check where it stands.
